So I finally 100%’d Atelier Ayesha. Easily one of the best games I’ve ever played. Now I want more of it. Atelier Ayesha Plus fucking when.
Anyway, all the endings give off mixed reactions. Wilbell’s ending is simple but awesome, the girls’ ending is diabetes-inducingly cute, Linca’s is hilarious, Harry’s is weird because I think he’s subtly trying to get Ayesha killed, and Keith’s is just plain cool.
Working ma’am ending I think was kinda disappointing, especially since it’s supposed to be one of the better ones. Juris’s was really boring too.
Then there’s Regina’s ending, which is really weird, since pretty much the entire game establishes that she is a strong independent woman who don’t need no man, but then her ending has her retire and spend her life back home looking for a husband. I can see the social justice brigade jumping all over that one.
The “true” ending was awesome though, in which Ayesha basically begins to be worshiped as a goddess by the people, which she totally deserves to be. The best part is that she’s constantly trying to avoid the attention, saying that she just wants to lock herself up in her workshop and synthesize. But she continues to visit each area and help the people there, because she is a good girl.
Now to wait for Escha & Logy to come out. Japan is getting it next month I think, so hopefully we won’t have to wait long. Wilbell is back in it, and she’s looking more grown-up and more awesome.

This is so well-written! Isn’t it strong that Regina followed her own will, though? It was a while since I played Regina’s story though, so I haven’t really analyzed the details and so on……wasn’t Keith’s end labeled the true end? I remember it being called キースエンド(真)/真実の探求

Regina did make the choice on her own in the end, but she was pressured into it by her parents, and you can tell she really didn’t want to.
As for the true ending, none of them are explicitly labeled as true endings, though Keith’s is called “Searching for the Truth” I believe. The Sage’s Hermitage ending is generally considered to be the true ending since you need to have satisfied the requirements for almost all of the other endings (Harry’s ending, Keith’s ending, the Working Ma’am ending for doing 90% of the requests, and the Girls Gathering ending, which in turn requires you to complete the requirements for Wilbell’s ending and completed all of the events for Nanaca, Tanya, Marietta, and Nio). Linca, Regina, and Juris’s endings are the only ones you don’t need to do in order to get that one. And for what it’s worth, Searching for the Truth nets you a silver trophy while Sage’s Hermitage nets you a gold trophy.

I still don’t understand why it ends with (真) though…The Scenario Guide called the ending that as well, so I guess it’s not only the picture that’s called that, as well as the choice where Nio and Ayesha visits Zweiteturm, which can only lead to Keith’s ending. The guide book also labeled it as the true ending.Isn’t Working Ma’am an alternative normal ending, triggered by one character ending too by the way?

Dunno what it meant by that, since it’s just Keith’s character ending, no more “true” than Wilbell’s or Linca’s. The scene where Ayesha brings Nio to the Zweitertum isn’t required for the ending, I believe.
Working Ma’am isn’t a character ending, although it is Ernie-heavy. You don’t need to see any events for it though, you just need to complete 90% or more of the requests.

Finally started Atelier Meruru. Right off the bat, grown-up Totori. Absolutely perfect.
…Well, relatively grown up. 19 years old, but she’s still short and flat. Just not quite as much as last game.

Oh, right, a new Touhou game was announced. The demo will be released at this year’s Reitaisai. Playable characters are Reimu, Marisa, and Sakuya.

A simple but beautiful picture of Komachi (pun not intended), drawn in alphes’s style.
I REALLY hope she’s playable in Hopeless Masquerade. That whole distance-manipulating thing would be awesome with the air battles.
Click the source to be taken to the artist’s page, where you can see this picture with a lot more facial expressions (and I mean a LOT).
